YOUTH MINISTRIES

Mission Statement

The youth ministry of FPC exists to seek, serve, and make disciples of our youth by loving and accepting everyone in order to transform one youth, one community at a time.

CORE VALUES

Compassion

If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.  (1Corinthians 13:1-3)

  Unity

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

(Galatians 3:28)

Family

As it is, there are many members, yet one body.

(1 Corinthians 12:20)

Modeling

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.

(Ephesians 5:1)

SUNDAY NIGHTS

We refer to Sunday night as Transform!

We spend time being transformed and then we go try to transform the world for others.

Below is a schedule of what a typical Sunday night looks like:

5:30 Dinner

All youth are encouraged to attend Sunday Night Dinner. This is a great time of food and fellowship for the entire youth group.

6:00 Mission/Fellowship

Each Sunday Evening, there will be a variety of different activites planned. Some weeks we will fellowship together. Other weeks we will participate in outreach mission projects. These projects will include community and church outreach.

On occasion we abandon our schedule and do something totally different! Come join us to see what it is all about!

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Here's what a typical Wednesday night looks like!

5:00 - Learning the Lectionary

At 5:00pm we meet and have a devotion and activity based on the lectionary reading for the week.

Each Wednesday night dinner is available for everyone who wants to participate.

Dinner takes place in the Fellowship Hall

6:10 - Wednesday Night Live

After dinner, we have Bible Study using Youth Cartel Curriculum. We will be studying different topics each month and how they pertain to our own lives.
